The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, the Technical Project Manager will support the administration of the Construction Contract on behalf of Hermes. This role entails technical design reviews, coordination of construction activities with airport operations and key stakeholders, and general project controls. In addition, the Technical Project Manager will manage independent engineering services and work closely with the Project Scheduler to verify and validate deliverables under the Construction Contract and identify any project and schedule risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and develop a strong working knowledge of the key Project Documents, specifically, the Design-Build Contract, Basis of Design (BOD) and the agreed scope of works with the Cyprus Government.
• Review project submissions (drawing packages, shop drawings and plans) as assigned and highlight any conflicts or inconsistencies with:
  • Project Requirements
  • Prior versions, where changes may result in negative impacts to construction or operations
  • Project goals and/or safe, secure, and efficient airport operations
• Preparation of presentation materials (including PowerPoint, drawings, diagrams, handouts, narratives, or short reports) for meetings with internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of project drawings, and assist the Project Director with:
  • Extraction, markup, and collation of drawing sets when required for specific purposes
  • Drawing review and markup to identify estimated areas, quantities, distances, measurements, etc.
• Participate in working group meetings with internal and external stakeholders as required, which may include preparation of notes and minutes.
• With the assistance of other Project Team members, maintain an up-to-date tracking list of project submissions and status.
• Prepare and or review draft change orders/ variations, including the preparation of supporting materials and narratives.
• Support the Project as required or requested by the Project Director, from time to time including but not limited to:
  • Maintenance of the Master Schedule, with the support of the Project Scheduler as it relates to detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning, concessionaires fitout and related operational readiness activities.
  • Assist with the development of a project risk log specific to the activities for the planned work at LCA and PFO where Hermes has exposure and identify mitigations to reduce the likelihood and or severity of such risks.
  • Coordinate with the project team on concessionaires fit-out design and implementation to ensure their needs are met without impacting the overall project schedule.
• Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

Primary Qualifications:

With at least 5 years of directly relevant experience, the ideal candidate will be an independent worker, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills, and able to work to tight deadlines in addition to demonstrating sound business judgment, a high degree of integrity and objectivity and innovation in approaching project challenges. The candidate will be skilled in the Microsoft Office suite and demonstrate a strong ability to learn new software tools. Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit is strongly preferred.
