The role

We’re looking for someone who can sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations and make all three better. This role is about building a finance ecosystem that actually works—scalable systems, clean data, streamlined processes—and making sure it holds up as we grow.

You’ll lead both finance systems strategy and the evolution of our global shared services model, helping us move faster, reduce manual work, and bring consistency across a complex, multi-asset environment.

This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about relationships, judgment, and keeping things moving in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

This isn’t a traditional finance role. And that’s the point.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Finance Systems & Technology

  • Own and evolve our ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)—from day-to-day optimization to future cloud transition
  • Manage and continuously improve our broader finance tech stack (FloQast, Kyriba, Concur, Board BI and future tools)
  • Lead the development of a data warehouse and reporting strategy—creating a true single source of truth
  • Design integrations and automation frameworks to eliminate manual processes and improve data integrity
  • Build and maintain a 2-year finance technology roadmap aligned with business priorities

Shared Services & Asset Accounting

  • Co-lead the design and ongoing evolution of our global finance shared services model
  • Lead finance integration for new assets—ensuring systems, processes, and controls are stood up quickly and effectively
  • Partner with site and corporate teams to balance local needs with global consistency

Standardization & Playbooks

  • Build and maintain a global finance operating playbook
  • Standardize key processes across:
    • Procure-to-pay and month-end close
    • Treasury and cash management
    • FP&A reporting and data flows
    • Risk and insurance integration

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify friction points using real metrics (close timelines, error rates, manual touchpoints)
  • Drive automation and digital transformation (RPA, AI, system enhancements)
  • Ensure the model scales without adding unnecessary overhead

Governance & Controls

  • Design and implement strong internal control frameworks
  • Act as the primary finance lead for audit related to systems and shared services

Strategic Projects & Partnerships

  • Lead (with Accounting Operations leadership) the evaluation and implementation of a next-generation global ERP
  • Act as a key advisor to Finance and IT leadership on systems and scalability
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure strong performance against SLAs

What you bring:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or similar
  • 8+ years in finance systems, ERP, consulting, or senior accounting within a shared services environment
  • CPA (or working toward it) is an asset
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navision)
    • Finance tools like FloQast, Kyriba, Concur, Board BI (or similar)
    • Data structures (SQL, data warehouses, ETL processes)
  • Deep understanding of internal controls, accounting workflows, and multi-entity environments
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale implementations and drive change

If you’re an experienced leader who enjoys connecting dots across systems, people, and processes, and making things actually work better, this is your kind of role. The salary range for this position is $138,000-170,000 CAD.

This is a remote position located in Canada, with a preference for candidates in the Hamilton area. The application deadline is April 14, 2026.
